IGNORE
“IGNORE”
- The trials and tribulations of a poet/writer, who speaks a literary language
through words, rhyming and imagery. The connection to the reader can only be
had if the reader accepts and embraces the work of a poet/writer who puts that
“work” out there for the taking. Sometimes the magic happens, and sometimes it
does not. It’s a personal choice – an “individual thing”. The efforts of the writer, however, never end - because true passions never die. (Dedicated to all you writers out there who
have experienced “Ignore”.)

Rarely
a "Comment" or a "Share"
Maybe
one or two from a kind few...
And
those kind few always do!
As
books come alive
That
special journey will ensue…
Foolishly,
I respond with "Likes", "Shares"
and
"Comments" for others,
out
of kindness of the heart;
to
simply promote their accomplishments
with
or without them asking,
as
I recognize their need to present their art

...I
secretly wish for the gesture in return...
Is
it I that must one day learn?
Perhaps
they have no interest
Is
it me, or just their lack of concern?
I
feel many just don't see it; or many just don't know
Not
their fault I guess
Life
is touch and go

IGNORE!
Some
care not for reading
They
prefer tv or eating
Wrapped
up in social events
Or
problems of their own
Or
just have no interest
in
what others have to say
Whatever
the reason
From
season to season
They
choose to walk away
-
IGNORE!
Time
passes; lives move on
and
“insignificance” rules
But
I’ll be there
In
case they change their minds
Bearing
literary jewels
…For
now - Yes! Once again
-
IGNORE!
I
so appreciate the written word
and
those who appreciate it too
In
the quiet of the day or eve
The
magic will come true
What
is passionately offered
from
the writer’s voice and soul
Whether
a Writer or a Reader,
The
charm of storytelling
is the goal
-
IGNORE!
It
is always give and take, my friends
Or
purely connecting thought by thought
…A
shared relationship with an avid reader
…A
precious Literary gift,
which
surely can ne’er be bought
...And
some will know
what
they just cannot "IGNORE"!
