Nice story that warms your heart and feeds
your soul--- like chicken soup. It is about an Italian family that brings back memories of
foods, traditions and relationships from growing up with Brooklyn Italian relatives.
What makes this more than chicken soup is the twists and intrigue that eventually add
to the solving of crimes in the area.Great Story. Can't wait for more from this
author!!!

The storyline was very good and it kept your
interest. The way the conclusion was presented left the reader to make their own
judgements as to how far and who actually was involved in this sinister plot. You were
never really sure who the culprit/culprits were involved in these illegal actions. At one
point I thought possibly, the good friend was maybe one of the conspirators. She was
almost too good to be true. So I feel the writer succeeded in keeping the
storyline suspense filled right till the end. Good job.

No one loves a little mystery more that I do,
and this book delivered! With most books I can usually "figure out" and seem
to know "what's really going on" well before the book ends. Not with this one! It was written
in such a way that I felt as though I were watching a movie as my eyes scanned over the
words! I must have changed my mind at least 3 times regarding all the intrigue
before (happily) being wrong with trying to guess the ending after all! I also liked the
fact that this book has the ability to make one want to keep reading, despite all the
things in life that are constantly demandingour attention! Simply put, it's an enjoyable
read and a welcomed escape from reality!

When I first started reading this book, I was
pleasantly surprised by how many traditions and superstitions my family has in common with
the characters in the book. It brought back great memories. I was enthralled with the
book once I started reading and felt like I was part of the family. Wanting to know
more. Wanting to help. I was drawn in from the very beginning. Can't wait for the next
book by Phyllis Collucci.
